Civil/Structural Engineer
Responsible for production of all aspects of the Civil and Structural design elements and construction support for Multi discipline Projects. Key duties include: • Providing Civil, Structural and building works support to Project Estimating • Providing Civil, Structural and building works support to Project Design. • •Providing Civil, Structural and building works support to Project Construction • •Managing all aspects of Civil, Structural and building works Design. • •Providing technical support to other discipline Engineers, Designers and Construction teams. The Engineer will, fulfill the following role: Key Responsibilities: • Assume responsibility for planning and managing delivery of Civil, Structural and building works design and engineering aspects through to construction. • Production of Civil, Structural and building works deliverables (Utilizing Design Engineers, Draughting and Graduate resources) including detailed specifications, General Arrangement drawings, Reinforcement, Structural and building works detail drawings, Technical reports and studies. • Operating and competently working on an independent basis • Undertaking detailed design and tender documentation for multi discipline projects • Planning and managing CAD documentation of design work • Ensuring that appropriate design deadlines are met within agreed deadlines and within budget. • Communicate effectively within the multidiscipline design team in addition to Client and Supply Chain representatives to ensure project requirements and expectations are met. • Ensure all technical deliverables and data are prepared and structured in accordance with relevant design codes and standards. • Management of effective change control throughout detailed design. • Effective management and resolution of design confliction. • Ensure the design meets the operational/ design requirements, and any Safety Functional requirements • Check, verify and approve engineering documents in line with the technical specifications Key Skills: • Working knowledge of Civil and Structural design procedures. • Working knowledge of Civil, Structural and building works construction. • Experience of multi discipline design and construction projects.
